The glass roof is polished and the freshly cut grass is awaiting the players at Wimbledon. From Monday 22nd of June the first ball will be served and many of the tennis players below the top-100 can finaly get a shot at the big championship. The qualifying round will run until Thursday 25th of June and only then will the draw be made for the actual championship that will be held from Monday 29th of June until the 12th of July. A pretty big drama was needed for Novak Djokovic to book a place in the French Open final. The Wimbledon champion had to go on a limb on the fifth set against Andy Murray and there was fire in both players from start to end. On the first 2 sets, the Serbian got away with 6-3, 6-3 but then Murray made a pretty big comeback. He won third set with 7-5 and the fourth with the same score. We must arm ourselves with patience if we are to see who will face Stanislas Wawrinka in the men’s French Open final. This is because the semifinals between Wimbledon champion Novak Djokovic and British Andy Murray was cancelled because of rainy weather and storm on Friday. Djokovic is up with 2-1 in sets, it is still very exciting though. The Serbian took the first two sets with 6-3, 6-3 but then Murray returned and won third set with 7-5.
